BAVA 30. Anniversary

The Bagatti Valsecchi Museum, open to the Milanese public since 1994, celebrates 30 years of activity and commitment to the broadcast of the rich art collection housed within its rooms. The Museum, located in the heart of the city of Milan, is one of the most important and best-preserved house museums in Europe, the result of the painstaking collecting work of the Bagatti Valsecchi family. Graphic Bureau followed step by step the brand refresh, set up for the Museum's 30th anniversary celebrations and presented at a big party held in the Museum's rooms. The graphic concept was confronted with a very precise and rich identity that was not to be distorted. Hence the idea of working on a few elements, with a sober but clearly recognisable visual appearance, that could add a celebratory character without lapsing into solemnity.

The leitmotif of the new identity is embodied by a red ribbon, the elegant symbol of the festivities, which is now to draw a 30 around the museum's official logo and become a graphic identity element. To complete the new graphic language, new primary and secondary colours and new fonts have been identified, all selected in continuity with the previous aesthetics to communicate a soft transformation that respects the great tradition associated with the Milanese museum.
